This host sends ICMP redirects
What this means
net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects is 1 — a non-router host has no legitimate reason to send ICMP redirects, and leaving this on is unnecessary route-manipulation surface.
How to fix it
Set net.ipv4.conf.all.send_redirects=0 via /etc/sysctl.d/ and run sysctl --system (skip this if the host is intentionally acting as a router).
Check it yourself
Run a scan and look for BLWK-KERNEL-016 in the results:
sh
bulwark scanInstalled the standalone CLI package instead of the app? The command is bulwarkctl.
How Bulwark decides
Bulwark reads sysctl_kernel and reports this check when:
text
send_redirects == 1If a value can't be read, Bulwark reports the check as undetermined rather than passing it. View the rule source.
