Password minimum age is zero
What this means
PASS_MIN_DAYS in /etc/login.defs is 0 — a user forced to rotate a leaked password can immediately change it right back to the old (compromised) one, defeating the point of the forced rotation.
How to fix it
Set PASS_MIN_DAYS 1 (or your organization's policy) in /etc/login.defs.
Check it yourself
Run a scan and look for BLWK-ACCT-003 in the results:
sh
bulwark scanInstalled the standalone CLI package instead of the app? The command is bulwarkctl.
How Bulwark decides
Bulwark reads login_defs and reports this check when:
text
pass_min_days == 0If a value can't be read, Bulwark reports the check as undetermined rather than passing it. View the rule source.
