IP source routing is enabled
What this means
net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_source_route is 1 — this host accepts packets that specify their own route, letting a remote attacker bypass normal routing/firewall path assumptions and spoof traffic as if it originated from a trusted internal address.
How to fix it
Set net.ipv4.conf.all.accept_source_route=0 via /etc/sysctl.d/ and run sysctl --system.
Check it yourself
Run a scan and look for BLWK-KERNEL-015 in the results:
sh
bulwark scanInstalled the standalone CLI package instead of the app? The command is bulwarkctl.
How Bulwark decides
Bulwark reads sysctl_kernel and reports this check when:
text
accept_source_route == 1If a value can't be read, Bulwark reports the check as undetermined rather than passing it. View the rule source.
